But Pixie Lott opted for a decidedly preppier take on winter fashion as she and boyfriend Oliver Cheshire headed out on a romantic date night on Friday.
The 22-year-old singer cast off her questionable candy pink shorts suit in favour of a stylish pleated plaid skirt as the couple spent the evening at London's Chakana nightclub.

Pixie completed her party ensemble by wearing her blonde locks hanging loosely around her shoulders, and injected a welcome pop of colour to her ensemble with a slick of dark berry lipstick.

Not letting his girlfriend down in the sartorial stakes, Oliver opted for a chocolate brown leather flight jacket, which he teamed with a navy tee and indigo jeans as the pair left the club.
And it would appear the loved-up couple were in a particularly amorous mood for the day, with Oliver posting a cute snap on his Instagram page of the singer treating him to a smooch on the cheek.
Alongside the photo, he wrote: 'Very fun night at @Chakanalondon wid pixielott :D.'
Pixie and Oliver have been dating for three years, and while they make their relationship work by staying in contact via Skype when she is working overseas, the star insisted they are 'too young' to think about tying the knot anytime soon.

Pixie rarely makes a fashion mistake, and last night was no different. The singer looks super chic in her preppy ensemble, and she's bang on trend with her kilt-like skirt.
