Katie Holmes layers up in a beanie hat and boots as she latch asylum from the Cape Town put of her new skin The Giver

She’s been working hard on her latest movie for weeks, thousands of miles away in Cape Town, South Africa.

On Thursday though it was finally time for Katie Holmes to head home to the US and her little girl Suri as she arrived at the airport after wrapping up work on The Giver.

The 34-year-old dressed for comfort for her long flight, as she oversaw her trolleys full of luggage being wheeled through departures at Cape Town International Airport.

The actress looked comfy but chic as she made her way through the terminal, choosing pale skinny jeans tucked into flat knee high boots.

Katie slung an oversized blazer style coat over her look and
kept cosy with a green woollen hat perched on top of her glossy brunette curls.

Hiding behind some sunglasses, the star made sure all of her luggage made it to the right location with piles of suitcases and holdalls being spotted wheeled through the airport.

Katie gave a small smile for the nearby photographers as she oversaw the operation, with the mother of one no doubt looking forward to getting home to her seven-year-old daughter Suri.

Suri has been staying with Katie’s mum for the past week, with Katie jetting back to the Cape Town set of The Giver after enjoying a brief break with her family for Thanksgiving.

With Katie’s 35th birthday coming up on December 18th closely followed by Christmas, the actress will be enjoying some well-deserved time off with her little girl, who’s father is her ex husband Tom Cruise.
